GLONOVA Technologies Inc. (“GLONOVA”, “we”, “us”) is a British Columbia company building an independent verification programme for medical aesthetics clinics. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, what we do with it, and what rights you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act.
This website is pre-launch. It does not process bookings or payments, and it does not collect health or medical information of any kind. This policy will be replaced before any such feature becomes available.
| Category | Detail |
|---|---|
| Enquiries | Your name, email address, the message you send, and your selection of who you are — clinic, practitioner, distributor, patient, media or other |
| Waitlist | Your email address only, where you ask to be told when the register goes live |
| Survey responses | Your answers to optional survey questions on our waitlist pages. These are stored separately from your email address and are not linked to it |
| Technical information | IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, time of visit, and the site that referred you |
| Cookies | Essential cookies required for the site to function, and analytics cookies where you consent to them. See our Cookie Policy |
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose other than those stated without your consent.
Where we ask optional survey questions, your answers are stored separately from any email address you leave, with no identifier connecting the two. We collect your email address for one stated purpose, which is to notify you. Storing your survey answers against it would be collecting personal information for a purpose we had not disclosed. It also means you can answer honestly.
You may complete the survey without leaving an email address, and leave an email address without completing the survey.
This section is a commitment rather than a disclosure, and it is deliberate.
We never share information about you — including which pages you viewed or which clinics you looked at — with any clinic, practitioner, supplier, manufacturer or advertising network.
We do not use advertising or targeting cookies, and we do not build a profile of your interests.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
A body that publishes independent verification of clinics must not pass information about the people reading those verifications to the clinics being verified. That is a matter of independence, not only of privacy.
We seek to store personal information in Canada. Some service providers may process or store information outside Canada, in which case it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including lawful access by foreign authorities.
| Information | Retention |
|---|---|
| Enquiry correspondence | 24 months from the date of the last exchange |
| Waitlist email addresses | Until purpose fulfilled and you have been notified, or until you unsubscribe |
| Survey responses | 36 months. Retained in anonymised form thereafter if used in published research |
| Technical and analytics data | 14 months |
We collect, use and disclose personal information with your consent, or as otherwise permitted by law. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide certain features.
When we send you a commercial electronic message, we do so in accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation, and every such message includes a means of unsubscribing.
If you leave your email for the waitlist, we will send you one message when the register goes live. We will not add you to a newsletter.
We respond to written requests within 30 days, as required under PIPA.
Survey responses cannot be retrieved or deleted individually, because they are not linked to your identity. That is a consequence of the separation described in section 4.
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and restricting access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be brought to your attention.
Questions, access requests and complaints may be directed to our Privacy Officer at info@glonova.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
